The melting of the North Pole could be catastrophic on all kinds of levels. It's no joke. And there's not a single scientist in the world who laughs at it like some of you idiotic retards on the far right. It could cause massive flooding, ruin millions of lives and produce increased violent weather patterns globally including both floods and famines. It could wipe out many species including polar bears, penguins etc. It could also make Canada not the US the next financial super power as their formerly frozen territory becomes accessible. Canada already sells us more oil than the Saudis. And the one weak Canadian dollar now trumps the weak Bush dollar. Canadians also have a wonderful public health system, an honest government and despite more gun ownership than in the US don't go around shooting each other. Who maybes, maybe some day illegal US immigrants will be crossing the Canadian border looking for work. That is if the GOP stays in charge.
