I can't recall where I read it, but I recall reading that splits are sometimes the kiss of death, often times diluting a stock.

Splits work with strong growth companies with the market in a strong uptrend. Otherwise, if I recall correctly, splits will often slow down price growth.

Re: SU ... Price is now approaching a price support area. Since this is a weekly chart, the sideways base formed over an 8 month period, give or take, and should provide good support. Two ways to approach this if you like SU.

One is to place an order in the $56.00 price range, give or take, and anticipate the bounce.

Or, wait until price can trade above the current week's high of the week before entering, currently at $60.00.

What is good about the volume is that most of the downside volume is below average. This is what you want to see on price pull backs after price has set a recent high.

I discount last week's volume due to the number of shares that traded across the board on end of quarter and realignment of the indices.
