Something about that phone puts your brain into a different zone, one that's not very compatible with driving,

It's kind of strange but that's exactly what talking on a cell does, it seems to force your brain to be with whoever is calling you instead of on the road driving. What's strange is talking to someone in the back seat doesn't have the same effect. IMO having a hands off type set up in your call will make a bit of difference but in the end your still zoning out....

I managed to use the gas, brakes, and clutch, shifting gears and steering with my knees while simultaneously eating an egg mcmuffin, drinking coffee and smoking a cigarette

I think you may want to consider giving up smoking. Over time it may be no safer than talking on that ol' cell phone.... :)

driving in from Arcadia i used to have the same girl in front of me at times.. from the time she got on the 401 till downtown 6th exit she became a completely different girl.

the hair rollers were gone, the eyes were made up , lip stick applied, eye lashes done, time for a coffee break, etc etc.. and that was before cell phones.
