What a pic that is.

i took a vote... you have NNBM authorization to hang
the picture on the bar wall. you might want to put it down
by wharfy's end since he's a former distance runner who,
over the long haul, could wipe out any of these premature
sprint legged wimps.

It was extraordinary, indeed!

In the quarterfinals, Gay let up at about 80 meters to coast in. At the line, he was passed by three guys, and had the same time as one other guy..only 4 moved on. He got 4th, but, he easily could have been out. Then, a couple of hours in the semifinal, he ripped out of the blocks for a new American Record at 9.77. The 2nd place finisher, Dix, set a record for the fastest time by collegiate athlete, 3rd place was a high school kid that set the record for the fastest time by a high schooler! Three records in one race!
