What color is the sky in your world....try reading the newspapers from this year. Check the price of oil, milk, bread, gasoline, and housing...... AQ is very much alive and well, and OSAMA IS STILL ON THE LOOSE!@!

I really don't care about a LITTLE escalation in prices -- these are still NOTHING compared to the misery index from 1979. Unemployment is managed, we are finally paying an appropriate price for oil/gas (and one which will provide an incentive for further exploration and development of alternatives), I have no problem with milk or bread and corn would be fine except for these nitwits trying to use it to make fuel.

As to Osama, I hate that he is still on the loose, but the truth is he has been unable to put together an attack on us in years, while he managed three between '98 and '01. So, as a practical matter, he is neutered.

This is not to rationalize Bush's mistakes, but the reality is that the country is in pretty good shape right now, other than the fact we're having to spend so much money to import foreign oil which is killing the dollar. If you want to blame that on someone, you might what to look at the Dems in Congress.
