Do you know her schedule to be with her kids before she left and when she returned? - If Barack had said in the Primary that he would accept public financing no matter what, even without a deal on 527s, he might have lost the nomination. Hillary would have rightly called him on keeping one hand tied behind his back. In the Primaries and in the election, it is important to be Presidential. She asked to speak to that audience. The event was long planned. Ellen Malcolm was enthusiastic about making room for Michelle to speak. No one would turn that down, except you.
