Imagine holographic red versions, giving 3D images to people with the right spectacles. A giant but invisible red Q could appear in the sky above San Diego. With high energy CO2 lasers or whatever gives the right frequency, and seeding of the atmosphere with the right absorbing material, it could be a huge glowing Q in the sky.
