Ever since political assassinations were declared illegal, the number of political assassinations has gone to zero as far as I know. There don't seem to be any rouge actors like Lee Harvey Oswald or John Wilkes Booth type guys any more. It has been illegal for people to murder other people since forever, but that never stopped anyone. To think that just because nations say you can't do it, it doesn't happen, is like imagining a world without disease, but it just doesn't.

If ever there was a reason to assassinate someone, Mugabe is it.

It is worth mentioning that no one--not Obama, no U.S. observer, or any interested European or African--has wondered if, say, some French or Belgian or British soldier of fortune might be willing for a small consideration to rid Zimbabwe of its oppressor.
