Jimmy Carter was a great president who was very unlucky. He was probably also sabotaged by ther Reaganites who made secret deals with the Iranians promising them shipments of weapons if they'd hang onto the hostages until after the election. There is a lot of circumstantial evidence supporting this and Reagan definitely made it a habit to arm the Iranians, the very same ones Bushies are trying to pick a war with now.
