I posted it last night, and am very glad to see it's #1... In a couple of months, when milk is $5 or more a gallon, gas is more than $5, soft drinks are too expensive to have independent truckers carry, SUV's won't be offered, food will take so much money to buy, no other activities can be planned, and credit will be nearly shut down....Do you think people will get it then? Even Harry Reid?

While waiting for Costco to open this AM to see about the Bluetooth thingee I had purchased a couple of months ago, chatted with a nice gentleman, who I could tell from something he said, was a bit Liberal....he groused about the price of food, and suggested that is why Costco is doing better than most as far as stock is concerned. He said that Americans were well off, and should cut down on everything.

I mentioned something that he "might want to think about"

...."I wonder how many people realize that the amount of energy America uses is partly due to all the food and materials we make for overseas consumption....? "If we cut down, our oil and gas use will be considerably less, but the rest of the world won't have the food or materials we send them..."

He thought for a minute, and noted that he hadn't thought about that aspect before...

Maybe we should tell Harry Reid that NV is not being charged enough for use of the Boulder Dam energy for Las Vegas....
