tj, i happened to pass by Stanley today looked over from the other side of Shek O peninsula where i saw a bunch of small greek style villa sitting along side of the bay. That's i believe where you reside. Nice but it was a lot hotter facing the sun in the south side of the rock solid island. Shek O is like Greece with an Ocean view that can compare with Hawaii's. Even though today is a workday, the beach was crowded with gangs and beauties. Shek O is a rare resort town in hk runaway from city life, but without much real estate to invest in...

It is just a few people. The whole population is 6 billion plus. Can anyone, besides me, think about scale?

It is the majority that counts! If New Zealand disappears today under the sea, it is of no consequence. No one even notice that.

For today and for much of the near future, a USD monterary system collapse would tend to slow China's progress significantly. Who holds Trillions of USD ? Who runs a large trade surplus with the US ?

Russia might benefit enormously from a USD collapse, however.
