This is one of those multi factorial things. As soon as they start blaming high frequency signals etc.. you know they are not going to solve it until the find out its a PCB or pesticide. We have heard everything. BT Thuringensis, new nicotinoid pesticides, roundup, GMO crops, etc.. the latter are always given a clean bill as the bees fail in places where GMO corn or cotton is not grown. Israel Virus and mites are prime suspects. I suspect a pesticide concentration as the parasites and moths won't even go near the nest. I know moths can sense toxins very well. We should examine bears as well as they love honey. Maybe the toxin is in their fat.

Die offs en mass have been around since about 1896. We are pushing bees in a new ecology here in America, but the die offs are common to Greece and Spain and France too. It seems to date from the African bee thing, but hits in Canada where the strain is rare. CDN's seem to think its the nicotinoids.

I know we allowed about 800 pesticides rubber stamped since the Mulroney-Greer anti scientific debacle. Real good thinking. Some of them killed ducks and frogs and crayfish. Could their be a killer in that bunch? I wouldn't doubt it. Should ask Hochst about that. Franky I would suspect roundup as that stuff grows two headed bisexual frogs like chia pets.

Just about everything that Monsanto has done sound like it will end all life on earth as we know it. Letting Monsanto come up with one more chemical solution for the human race makes delivering mail-order anti-matter bombs to Iranian fundamentalists with a death wish seem like a petty foible.
