S&P goes down and your fillings shake?

I am starting to think maybe most Americans really are spoiled brats. "Oh, no, oh, no, we might have a recession! The sky is falling, the sky is falling!"

No shit?

Recessions happen. It's called a business cycle.

Unemployment goes up.

People lose their homes.

In my lifetime, nine. Soon to be ten. So what?
nber.org

If you lose your job, start a business. If you can't start a business, go on the dole.

If you lose your car, take the bus, or ride a bike.

If you lose your house, move in with your family. If you can't move in with your family, rent a room. If you can't rent a room, live in a shelter.

If you can't afford steak, buy beans and rice. If you can't afford beans and rice, get food stamps and go to a soup kitchen.

Been there, done that, and it's no big deal.

Lookit, if you are hard wired to freak out over a recession, God bless you, but the world isn't going to come to an end.

People who couldn't afford houses in 2006 are going to be able to afford houses in 2009. People who couldn't afford high business rents and expensive new office equipment and pay high salaries in 2006 are going to be able to start businesses in 2009. It's called creative destruction for a reason.
