I'm going to add a little Repsol because of its partnership with Petrobras in the recent potential large Brazilian oil fields.

I've not been a fan of Repsol -- they've been poor in their replacement of reserves and with their dealings with national governments. (This my opinion; I'm no expert.)

The stock though is slightly above where it was before their Carioca (Brazil) discovery was announced last September. As I understand it from REP presentation, Repsol has the largest Brazilian offshore exploratory portfolio after Petrobras. And REP is concentrated in the three "most prolific basins" (Santos, Campos and Espiritu Santo Basins).

Poorly run the company may be, but they were smart enough or lucky enough (it seems now) to have got exploratory blocks in off-shore Brazil.

With a very small purchase of REP now, I have got stock in all the publicly-traded partners of Petrobras in its offshore finds. (Except I don't have shares of companies where I would have to go on local stock exchanges to make a purchase. I've not done that.)
