There is surely the possibility that you are correct.

To counter this, I would argue that he is an old man, and money doesn't mean that much to him, he has plenty. Old men are generally more interested in how history will judge them so I don't think cold hard moolah directly to him had anything to do with what he did. I don't discount the possibility, however.

I don't know. I don't like to tag anyone with the 'evil' adjective unless I am sure and I am not.

If I could cross examine him, split hairs with him, confront him with his previous writings, see his reaction, smell his sweat, see his eyes, watch him twitch at the uncomfortable stuff, give him a grilling of the kind I reserve for opponents, I can assure you I'd know for sure.

I'd like to see if I could make him cry.
