It would be pretty easy to figure out what they are looking for and fake it so that it looked like the spam was coming from those sites. The point is that there was no spam involved. Obviously, this was some employee of GOOG who made the decision to shut down the moderator's posting privileges. GOOG discovered the error in its ways and fixed it. It had nothing to do with "spam filters" (and I'm not even sure such filters are applied to blog sites -- I haven't heard of any McCain sites being shut down by them).
