Yeah, you forgot the part about the bombs...

Ayers is one of the top political and social leaders in the city of Chicago. Anybody who wants to be anybody in Chicago, and by extension Illinois, has shown up on Ayers doorstep at least once.

It would be much easier to swallow were it not for the 2001 interview. Had Ayers not re-avowed his commitment to terrorism in that article, which he clearly did, I could think of him just as another criminal who got away with it, and subsequently realized it was a mistake. That is not what he did, though.

To discount Obama's relationship with this man is a mistake. Obama is associating with an individual who believes that terroristic violence against one's countrymen is appropriate. He believed it then, and he believed it on 9/11/2001. Unless something has changed in the last 7 years, he still believes it.

If that isn't troubling for you, you have some pretty serious problems.
