He needs a foreign policy guy not a military man who is often unable to keep his emotions in check. I like webb but dont see the match. How about Hagel--a conservative guy with obamas world view on fp? Bidens another with those kind of creds. If the race tightens come august, hillary is not out of the question either. They have same view more or less and she post primary is seen as tough as nails. Unlikely and bring clintons back in the mix will get shorty and the boys back to the she killed web hubbel stuff.

Webb: McCain Should 'Calm Down' on Using Military Service

I saw that live. Webb comes off well. Wouldn't be surprised if he was the VP choice.


I'd like that for two reasons. Webb's conservatism adds balance to the Obama ticket and it almost assures them getting VA....one of my fav purple states. <g>

This assumes of course that Obama and Webb can work together. I have a feeling Webb can be a pain in the butt.
