It was a coup to take them by force and wit as opposed to "negotiation" which was what Obama sent Bill Richardson to do and it blew up in his face.

If McCain was involved with the rescue effort it could make a huge difference for him in positive public sentiment. Although, the fact CNN is so focused on the story is somewhat unsettling. That network has been cheering for Obama.
