You are understating the costs of coal production and overstating the costs of solar and wind. Wind's vulnerability is supply disruption, but that can be fixed with power storage techniques for peak power usage. It's part of the initial investment. When you compare both technologies side by side amortized over the appropriate investment horizon, wind is at cost parity with coal. I'm sorry you don't believe that, but I'm not surprised. There is plenty of F.U.D. being pumped out on an unprecedented scale by the coal and oil industries to fight what they see as viable killer competition. They won't go out of business without a fight and you've bought their playbook hook, line, and sinker.
