as a very young man back in the 60s, i wrote a college paper regarding what you call the circular nature of politics. Totalitarian right and totalitarian left met head on with communism vs fascism. Today i think things are more nuanced but i am amazed at the repetitive nature of the poundings ted and inode give each other. Sort of reminds me of nazi and communist propagandists going at each other competing on whose big lie was the bigger whopper. Some of the stuff both write are almost comical. Its like two kids on the street saying your mama at each other.
