YOU were the one who griped that there were not detailed footnotes linking back to the original source documents from the Constitutional Convention (or something to that effect....) My "gripe" was the fact that they fail to make their argument. Not including such quotes is a major weakness. If your not pushing it, than the person you quoted obviously was. Consider my arguments as being against them (against their ideas), not you (or the ideas you ARE pushing), if your not actually pushing or supporting their ideas. So the issue is that I don't have to do their "homework" for them, rather than your homework for you. I'd go ahead and do it anyway, if it would actually be definitive, but the lack of such quotes is a smaller issue than the lack of any logic using those quotes to support their conclusion. Basically they observe a fact or two, don't provide much in the way of the detail about those facts, and then state a conclusion without providing any logic that would take you from those facts to the conclusion. So if I was to "do their homework", I wouldn't just have to look up their facts, I'd have to create their argument for them. And of course whatever argument I come up with, if I counter it, I would reasonably be charged with attacking a strawman, because I would be attacking the argument I made up, rather than some argument actually from them, or from anyone who was expressing agreement with them.
