I think you're projecting. A number of countries (Canada, Germany, France) have elected new govts to power that are friendlier with the Bush adm than the previous ones. We've also had a big diplomatic initiative with India. Bush has provided more (mostly health related) aid and attention to Africa than any previous adm having an impact on attitudes there. America remains very popular in eastern Europe. In the Muslim world, despite everything - back in 2001 there was widespread joy over the 911 attack - today AQ is largely discredited in most of the Muslim world. The socalled axis of evil seems to be down to one now.

Obama otoh has been alienating trading partners by attacking our trading agreements. Course he sends a campaign aide to assure them he doesn;t really mean it but that only goes so far. Recently he indicated he didn't like the idea of the US buying Canadian tar sands oil, an attitude shared by some Democratic Congressional leaders.

All those are facts.
