Polls tend to be more positive than reality. Usually, people don't say: "I despise GWB or the US"...but once they get to know you they'll be very forthcoming. It takes time...

A poll of 24K in 24 countries covers the whole world? 2000 per country no doubt. So India and Lebanon and Jordan and Germany and Indonesia and Pakistan and Tanzania etc each have 2000 counted.

I note that world attitudes before the Bush administration are entirely ignored. Yep, the Pew Global Attitudes website contains no archives older than 2001.

And guess what? The one pre-911 survey was all about Bush too:

08.15.01 Bush Unpopular in Europe, Seen As Unilateralist August 2001 Bush International Poll

No need to clutter up a Bush attack piece with any historical perspective, is there?

What were global attitudes like when Clinton was firing missiles into Muslim countries and bombing Iraq and Serbia? When al Jazeera was telling the Muslim world America was starving to death 50,000 Iraqi children a year?
