i was out to dinner with my college professor friend. Typically he is like tejek. Hated reagan, hates bush but said to me last night that as he sees it, we seem to have won (accomplished many objectives) in iraq despite our best efforts to lose it. I said it could blow up any day but i agreed that things looked pretty good for iraq going forward. I see the danger as iran and shiaa militias.
I wonder if others are starting to see it that way. If the US hangs there for another couple of years to help stabilize so be it. Weird that success means we stay longer. I think the obama clarification yesterday points to the fact that he isnt a kucinich nutcase or knee jerk anti-war lefty.

Baloney....you paint the democrats as being totally incapable of getting anything done on their own...why is that, Moonbeam?

Projecting again, sunshine? I have my problems with Dems but when allowed to lead, they usually do a great job........I look no further than my own state gov't which is generating very nice surpluses.
