Steve, it looks as though already the facts of history are in dispute. Surely you don't think that Reagan invaded USSR and conquered Gorby? Of course not. You think that merely by waving a big stick, it made them give up. Of course it didn't. Try that on China and see how much they give up. At present, it looks like China is on the up and up and the USA is in big trouble. Even Saddam didn't give up, despite being a tiny, state. Waving big sticks only gets a certain amount of result. In fact, waving big sticks at people sometimes gets the response it deserves. Bullies like to wave big sticks and bully people.

What happened with Gorby and the USSR was that they unilaterally gave up on the cold war because Gorby didn't have that megalomaniac philosophy and has human values.

It's not "anti-American" to state facts. Nor is it a minority. Have you got a count? China has 1.3 bn, India 1 bn, ex USSR a lot, Europe a lot.

The USA education process seems to be pretty good. Swarms of people from around the world crowd into it. It produces any number of scientists, engineers and others who do great things.
