Whoo hooo..............we got away without getting rained on.

Spent the afternoon and evening over at a friend's house off of Olympic View Drive. Had a BBQ and then the show started. I was amazed at what was going on around us. Every 5th or 6th house had huge displays of fireworks going and so did the house we were at. They told us they have a competition with their neighbors every year to see who could do it best. For five full hours there were fireworks going off in every direction. The house sits in a hollow down low and It was loud and very, very smoky. The kids were having a blast, and so were the guys. Personally I can do without it all, and in fact woke up with a sore throat from all that smoke.

They finally got through with the Grand Finale at 12:00. (Lynnwood has an 11:30 time limit for setting off fireworks............but no one seemed to care about that.)

Although it was really nice seeing and being with all of those people, this is the last time we do that.
