And I asked you if you're amenable to the science or is your mind made up by politics I answered that already on the first reply "Science" and I'm not interested in the politics hence my great distaste for Al Gore and his ilk. Doubt is natural to science; consensus is natural to religious cults. Real scientists throw up theories that seem to explain the available evidence and then dare people to prove the theories wanting. That is what peer review is all about. There is ample evidence which suggests that the Earth’s heating is naturally caused, not man made. There is no peer review in religious cults; instead, there is a top down orthodoxy that brooks no dissenters. When a religious cult gets control of a government, it outlaws dissent. The Global Warming advocates don’t have control of all the governments yet, but that is not for lack of trying. The favorite tactics of the Environmental cultists is to ignore all contrary evidence, to use ad Homenim attacks on dissenters and to impugn their motives. These tactics are inherently anti-scientific. So too, is politically correct scientific funding that seeks to defend the conventional wisdom. What’s next? Fines for environmentally impious statements, star chambers and the Iron Maiden? Hopefully, a few decades of Global Cooling will lessen the Environmental cultist’s ardor. But, they will probably find some other absurd topic to froth about.
