It was a joint presidency. John and Bobby Kennedy made decisions jointly . John was smart as hell, but bobby was smarter and tougher. Bobby was a rightous Wolverine. Remember John made Bobby Attorny General. That was controversial. John wanted bobby watching his back. And then Bobby took on Hoover and the mafia and everyone before bobby was scared of both. Then they integrated the south with the national guard. John Kennedy didn't make any decisions without Bobby's input and a few others. John was so smart like Clinton, he would argue over decisions. It was his best quality. e.g. He would say to McNamara: we have been arguing about that all day." But the dems almost always field a thinking presidential nominee. Adlai Stevenson! He was the best! Gore, Clinton, McGovern, Kerry, Carter. All smart decent men.
