Brazil claims bragging rights to "renewable energy" mainly via ethanol and "biofuels." As a result, they're tearing up the rainforest and screwing over their own citizens and migrant workers so that they can boost their exports.

I suppose if we tank our economy to the size of Brazil's, we too can become a "net exporter of energy."
