One of the difficulties and one of the good things with debate of any kind is that people speak from their own experience and knowledge and what they think they know based on opinions plus historical research-----including myself.

Debate and discussion is not about agreeing. When a point is made in a debate----a team is given a point.

By the title of this board, one knows that when you enter the fray the subject is "Obama is Unfit for Command".

The pro-Obama posters wanting to change the direction of the debate bash President Bush and everything that he has accomplished for America and the world and attack the Republican Party.

In such a debate, the anti-Obama posters on this board would be foolish to concede the high ground to the pro-Obama posters.

This is the reality---this is a general election in which we will decide who will be the POTUS.

tonto: "You are the one that brought up WWII as the issue. I knew there was no comparison and it was a mistake."

koan: WWII: I brought it up because bush and cheney keep comparing 9/11 to WWII and they defend all of their decisions based on that premise.

You are right 9/11 was nothing like WWII, so why do bush and cheney keep insisting it is; and why do conservatives not call them on it?

If 9/11 is not like WWII then we should be fighting it differently. We should have gone into Afghanistan and secured the country, crushed the taliban and alqaeda and then made getting bin laden job one. We did none of that. Instead we ran off to iraq while bin laden escaped to pakistan.

How in the hell did Iraq get into the equation?
