How can the democrates be responsible they have had no power for 8 years? For the first 6 years the republican's completely controlled the congress and presidency. Do you know how our country works. If you are the party out of power you have no power. And The committee chairmanships go to the party in power. The reason bush did not veto a single billl the first 6 years is because there was a deal. If congress left bush alone he would leave congress alone. So we had no checks and balances. And evben when the dems took over the congress they still needed 60 votes in the senate and so the republicans could still stop democratic initiates in the senate. Do you understand the dems have had no power. How can you blame them????? You cannot blame them. Good grief.
