you need 60 votes in the senate, so everything the dems try to do gets blocked there.

Oh, I'm not saying that the Democratic congress hasn't tried passing a bunch of bills, it's the quality of those bills that are in question not the quantity. It's a plus not a minus for the Republicans that they did block the majority of that garbage.....

Name something that the Dem congress has suggested, that's not completely inane, to deal with our energy problems? Tell me why they're not supporting the construction of nuclear power plants, especially when you consider the up coming drain on the grid from electric cars. Why don't they support drilling until alternate sources of renewable energy are brought on line?
