Apparently he feels the primitive, child-like 1950's Koreans were not responsible for their actions, and the mature, adult, developed Americans should have intervened. As for it not being new to Koreans, I can tell you it's news to Americans. You feel these massacres were called for and justified, and to despise them is a "leftist" reaction?

I think the fact that we were apparently aware of these Nazi-like slaughters and did nothing or gave permission is just another blow to our high-toned self history. Rather like the Roman consul that let the Jews crucify Jesus, eh?

Chris, this is one of the dumbest statements I've heard from a Korean historian:

> "The most important thing is that they did not stop the executions," historian Jung Byung-joon, a member of the 2-year-old commission, said of the Americans. "They were at the crime scene, and took pictures and wrote reports."

You think that's dumb? Are you not concerned that Americans seem to have trouble with their sense of morality......esp. the military? Do you not wonder if the American military allow it to go on for political reasons? Because the Koreans where lefties as opposed to righties? Do you not feel a sense of sickness that these Koreans died for no damn good reason? Instead, you see these events in political/partisan views.

Where is your moral compass?
