Carolyn This is substantial. In local state elections and even down to County Supervisor Elections contributions from out of state sources always come under scrutiny in Virginia. What Maureen Dowd is referring to out-of -country contributions------from individuals who may not be voters in our election from other nations. Thanks for the post. mj

Nice find Carolyn, you know what I find really depressing? All of the negatives that have come out about Obama will most likely have no impact on his supporters..... Simply because of one reason, the sole reason they support him is because he's different.... He continues to be different. It doesn't even matter that they know that his 'difference' is the wrong prescription at the precise time when he could do the most damage. They're perfectly willing to sell this country down the road......just to get back at Bush........ Incredible as it sounds, I believe it's true.
