It's a bit silly to say that the British starved the Irish to death.

Thanks to British land policies grain was being exported from Ireland at the hight of the famine. I don't know if the British were deliberately trying to kill the Irish or they just didn't care. Either way, the direct result of their policies is that today there are 100X more Irish genes sloshing around the world than if the British aristocracy hadn't been such arrogant monsters.
