The fact that not one person in high office has been called to account for this disaster is an indictment not only of the political classes, but also of those who run the media outlets of this country. Several people have already lost their jobs over their poor performance (rummy and abizaid) - bush changed the entire team to get the war back on track - it worked. This isn't russia, we don't shoot people that fail, we fire them.
