If true, it's a huge huge PR problem. Especially since Bush wants to send more troops- I can only imagine how thrilled the Afghans will be with that.

It might be somewhere in between the two reports? But what I took away from the NPR report I listened to a week ago was that Afghans are sick of the air strikes from Americans. Too often there is damage to the innocents. Meanwhile the news from Aghanistan is awful this morning;
