Z noted that there is no record of Jesus's existence. Yes, there is all the books in the bible.....all of which were written well after he was purported to have died. However, there are no birth records, no tax records, nothing of record that shows he actually existed. That's what I meant when I said Z was right. Thats a ridiculous position to take. There's no birth records etc of Alexander the Great, HAmmurabi, Julius Caesar, Aristotle etc either. The existence of Jesus is as well or better attested than any of these folks. Nigerian Christians killing Nigerian Muslims. I haven't heard of that. Perhaps in self defense. Most places its Muslims that are the aggressors - not only against Christians but against Buddhists (Thailand) and Hindus (India). But the killings there are minor compared to what Christians have done throughout history.....the Crusades, Self defense against much more extensive Muslim crusades against Christians. the Spanish Inquisition, Bad, but a few thousand casulties at most. Joan of Arc, One. N. Irish Catholics vs Protestants, Serb Christians vs Kosovo Muslims, Russian Christians vs Chechnya Muslims Most of these conflicts are between ethnic groups. Religion is simply one of the ethnic markers. ......that's just some of the bad things off the top of my head. Even Hitler considered himself a Christian. Maybe outwardly. ---------------------- Most of your gripes are historical in nature. I think you should balance them against things like the vast number of religious charities for the poor and sick, the hospitals (The first hospitals in history were developed by christians btw - christian crusaders even.), etc. The slave trade was also ended by Christian evangelicals btw.
