Liberals use the afganistan argument now but as things get worse there, when do they start calling for pullout there? That's a straw man. During the campaign to kick the Taliban out of Afghanistan, the mainstream media couldn't help but print stories on how strong Taliban morale was, how many civilians were being killed, and even whether all of the military attacks were working. Even a week before Kabul fell, the Taliban was reportedly in strong spirits and not going anywhere. Meanwhile, mainstream media guys like George Stephanopolous was arguing for more of a police action rather than an Afghanistan regime change. Bet no one remembered that. Tenchusatsu
