When our parents were born, horses were still a primary means of locomotion, cars and airplanes were in their earliest stages of development, there were no computers, you dialed the phone by turning a crank, and space travel was just science fiction. They endured two world wars and a global economic depression, and they gave us unbelievable prosperity. Yeah, they were the GREATEST generation. No other generation will ever see the changes they brought the world and all future developments will be extensions of what they started. I am in awe of them. Yet they are modest about themselves.
