ANWR is one of the last pristine wilderness areas on earth, or one of the last. It is a splendid place and a very sensitive eco-system.

It does not belong to Exxon. It does not belong to the GOP. And even if we ruin it by drilling there, it will not solve any problems for us. Besides, the big oil companies already own 10,000 drilling permits including huge ones in Alaska and they're not even drilling. Why? Sheer greed. They're waiting until oil hits $200 a barrel.

So never fall for the big oil BS. They are pouring hundreds of millions in gouged ill-gotten gains into dishonest PR campaigns and smear campaigns now. Don't believe any of it. It's all a big fat lie because they know they are guilty of stealing a trillion dollars and they fear they are finally going to have to pay. As far as I'm concerned, big oil should pay off the Bush Iraq war debt for us AND fund huge new clean fuels programs. That would be fair. Because they are singlehandedly wrecking the US economy now. And you support it. Shame on you.
