Of course the benefit and the contribution vary. This is why actuaries make the big bucks. You have to make reasonable estimates of what they'll be based on a ton of variables.

Jeez, simple concept. SS taxes can and have gone up (the contribution). Retirement dates can and have been put off (the benefits). WTF do you think we have been discussing?

Your false claim that both are permanently fixed is ludicrous. And that kills your entire argument.
