I'm happy to find my brand as a best buy. It's nice to just put these questions behind us.

As you suspected...price doesn't really seem to be a determining factor in this.

Starts off with a scare question, and ends up admitting that almost all follow federal standards. Sounds like the "Environmental Defense Fund" was looking for a story they couldn't find.

Two problems, IMO, are that:
a) federal standards are lax (according to some)
b) the compliance, according to the review, is that you take 1 capsule per day, and that the one capsule does not exceed the lax standards.

In one of the previous posts, you mentioned that you upped your dosage of Omega 3s to something like 6 capsules (I estimate). So if one of those capsules is just a hair under the lax federal limit, taking 6 results in ending up with 6x FDA limit.
