If religious fanaticism had not kept the MidEast permanently stalled in the 7thC, they would have the same attitude reflected in your remark. >religious wars are so old fashioned.< Well we are to blame as we enabled them. We did not condemn the Armenian Slaughter for almost a century, we did not charge Amin al husseini with War Crimes and Crimes against humanity, and we forced Israel into agreement after agreement that made no military sense but served the Wests interest. We have allowed newspapers to report on terrorism as if it was the fault of the Israelis, and we have treated Muslim leaders as if they led Civilized Countries when they do not.
