How revealing

"As we learn more about the Colombian military's daring hostage rescue last week, one detail stands out: In tricking FARC rebels into putting the hostages aboard a helicopter, undercover special forces simply told the comandantes that the aircraft was being loaned to them by a fictitious nongovernmental organization sympathetic to their cause called the International Humanitarian Mission," Wall Street Journal columnist Mary Anastasia O'Grady writes.

"It may have taken years for army intelligence to infiltrate the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia, and it may have been tough to convincingly impersonate rebels. But what seems to have been a walk in the park was getting the FARC to believe that an NGO was providing resources to help it in the dirty work of ferrying captives to a new location," the columnist said.

"I am reminded of President Alvaro Uribe's 2003 statement that some 'human rights' organizations in his country were fronts for terrorists. Connecticut Sen. Christopher Dodd got his back up over Mr. Uribe's statement, and piously lectured the Colombian president about 'the importance of democratic values.'

"But as the helicopter story suggests, Mr. Uribe seems to have been right. How else to explain the fact that the FARC swallowed the line without batting an eye?"

ObaMedia lies: Military Poll 54 McCain vs 6 Dems

ABC News Asks 60 Soldiers Who They'll Vote for - Doesn't Report the 54 For McCain

By Bill Dupray, redstate.com

This from Major General (ret) Buckman.

My niece, Katelyn, stationed at Baluud , Iraq was assigned, with others of her detachment, to be escort/guard/watcher for Martha Raddatz of ABC News as she covered John McCain’s recent trip to Iraq.

Katelyn and her Captain stood directly behind Raddatz as she queried GI’s walking past. They kept count of the GI’s and you should remember these numbers. She asked 60 GI’s who they planned to vote for in November. 54 said John McCain, 4 for Obama, and 2 for Hillary.

Katelyn called home and told her Mom and Dad to watch ABC news the next night because she was standing directly behind Raddatz and maybe they’d see her on TV. Mom and Dad of course, called and emailed all the kinfolk to watch the newscast and maybe see Katelyn.

Well, of course, we all watched and what we saw wasn’t a glimpse of Katelyn, but got a hell’uva view of skewed news. After a dissertation on McCain’s trip and speech, ABC showed 5 GI’s being asked by Raddatz how they were going to vote in November; 3 for Obama and 2 for Clinton .. No mention of the 54 for McCain.

Ah, the irony of American Patriots protecting the press from harm while the reporter prepares a completely misleading story about which candidate the soldiers prefer. The reporter obviously thought her escort was comprised of brainless morons who wouldn't see what was going on in front of them. Wouldn't be the first time a reporter in the MSM turned out to be the brainless moron.

Unbelievable. The liberal media has lied and mislead so many hundreds of millions of people over the last several decades. Imagine what this country would be like if the media was 90% conservative instead. McCain would be considered a staunch liberal and Bush would be considered a moderate.

Another eloquent Dem: Jesse Jackson Says He Wants to Cut Obama's.........'Nuts Out'

By CHARLES HURT, D.C. Bureau Chief

Jesse Jackson and Barack Obama

July 9, 2008

WASHINGTON - In a vulgar tirade caught on tape by Fox News, the Rev. Jesse Jackson said he wanted to "cut his [Barack Obama's] nuts out" and he accused the fellow Chicagoan of "talking down to black folks" by giving moral lectures to African-Americans, source said.

Jackson's shocking quotes were picked up by a hot mic before an interview on health care in Fox's Chicago studio last Sunday.

Fox planned to air the recording on Bill O'Reilly's "The Factor" show.

In an effort to blunt the controversy, Jackson issued an apology.

"For any harm or hurt that this hot mic conversation may have caused, I apologize," Jackson said in a statement.

Jackson said he couldn't recall everything he'd said in the studio but couched the remarks as part of a discussion about Obama speaking to black churchgoers.

In such settings, Obama has urged greater emphasis on fatherhood, advised parents to choose reading books over playing video games and most recently told young students to stick with school and forget about a career as a rap star or professional basketball player.

Jackson said that in doing so Obama was hurting his relationship with black voters, "that the senator was cutting off his you-know-whats with the black people and black churches."

Jackson told CNN that he called the Obama campaign to apologize and reiterated his support for the campaign of the first black nominee of a major party.

"My support for Senator Obama's campaign is wide, deep and unequivocal," he said in his statement. "I cherish this redemptive and historical moment."

Obama had no comment.

Perhaps no polls stretches the imagination like that of Zogby International, which has released a list of state-by-state presidential polling and found that Sen. Barack Obama is leading Sen. John McCain in several unexpected regions, including Arkansas, the Carolinas, Virginia and, of all places, Arizona, the home state of the presumptive Republican nominee. Zogby shows Obama ahead of McCain in Arizona by 3 percentage points.

Zogby also puts Obama, the expected Democratic nominee, well ahead of McCain in New Mexico, normally a red state, by 16 points. And he says Obama is within five points of McCain in Florida, Indiana, Kentucky and President George W. Bush’s home state of Texas.

You always leave out the best part, Kenneth....

McCain sought to clarify his remarks this afternoon on the Straight Talk Express. Young people, he said, "are paying so much that they are paying into a system that they won't receive benefits from on its present track that its on, that's the point."

The Social Security trustees "have clearly stated its going to go bankrupt," he said, adding that this is what he meant when he called the system a disgrace. "I don't think that's right," he said. "I don't think it's fair, and I think it's terrible to ask people to pay in to a system that they won't receive benefits from. That's why we have to fix it."

Why did you leave this part out and just post the misleading headline? No need to reply, you were just doing your job as a DNC parrot.

Diz-

PS: McCain is correct.
