Important to the specific issue I was discussing, not particularly.

So in a sense they are important but not very relevant. They only might be relevant if the allowed restrictions become so extensive that they basically amount to not allowing people to keep and bear arms, and the 2nd amendment become a officially/nominally personal right but in practice it gets ignored, or is allowed to be violated without sanction or recourse. Such would have been the effect of a decision that the right was a personal right, but that DCs restrictions don't violate it.
