How do you handle the "feedback" from all that FRE and FNM in retirement accounts, when they go to the trustee for their 401K, IRA, or other plan and say: "Hey, I need to update my bathroom and take a trip to Europe, sell some of my FNM and FRE". Or, even worse, let's say they don't need the bathroom update or trip to Europe but depend on the dividends...what's the govt. going to say? "Well, sorry, your stock is worthless" but we'll see you get 50% of your dividend"?? Or, "We're very sorry. Fannie and Freddie were never really guaranteed by the govt. against losses, you're fucked". Meanwhile, they let crooks like Raines go free with a $5 mil slap on the wrist.
