That is simply hyperbole. The US dollar is still the most recognized although maybe not the most coveted currency. Where are people turning down the dollar?

but now a lot of people around the world don't even want to take U.S. dollars.

Electing Dems to balance the budget is on a par with expecting Obama to protect the US from another terrorist attack--neither he nor they are qualified to successfully complete those missions.
