Its possible and there sure are similarities.

My comparison charts, of which that BGMI & S&P chart is one, is based on my overall hard/tangible vs. paper asset cycle which has been quite reliable as far back as the data goes.



Since the last cycle ran from 1966-1980 and the current one started in 2000, I just built the various charts on that basis.

There's a page full at nowandfutures.com and the similarities aren't small.
